OWL RESCUE AT MANSFIELD PLANTATION
April 10, 2005 Plantation workers discovered a baby owl on the grounds of Mansfield Plantation that had been blown from it's nest during a storm. The mother owl was seen circling above but did not attempt to reclaim her nestling. Workers carefully held the owl and gave it water, which it drank to everyone's surprise. After carfeully placing the fledgling back in the tree, everyone noticed that the mother owl had returned to feed it. The fluffy down gave way to pin feathers, and now at the right time you will see two owls flying high above the grounds of Mansfield Plantation.
